Ronald J. Bushwell, CLU®, ChFC® is a seasoned life insurance professional. He specializes in helping successful people and small businesses protect their family and assets they have worked hard to accumulate. A graduate of the University of Connecticut where he majored in Insurance and co-captained the UCONN Basketball Team in his senior year. Following graduation, Ron joined the Marine Corps and spent three years in Okinawa as a First Lieutenant. Ron entered the life insurance business in 1959 and has been a long time company and industry leader. He started his career with Phoenix and was associated with them for 42 years. In 2001, he left Phoenix Home Life and co-founded The Strategic Wealth Group, a life insurance and financial planning firm. Shortly thereafter, Ronald and his colleagues at Strategic Wealth Group became an office of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company where he is a leading producer and manager. Over Ron’s 52 year career he has been the recipient of numerous industry awards and has qualified for The Million Dollar Round Table for 47 consecutive years. In addition, he is a frequent industry speaker and has spoken at sales congresses throughout the United States and abroad. The University of Connecticut has awarded Ron the prestigious Red O’Neill Award which recognizes alumni who have gone on from the athletics field to distinguish themselves in their chosen career. Ron was also the recipient of the Israel Siegal Award, the highest honor give to a Life Underwriter in New Jersey. Ronald is a resident of East Hanover, NJ with his wife of 55 years, Rose.
